Rocky becomes your child’s writing companion, guiding them step-by-step through planning, writing, reviewing, and improving their work, across all the key formats tested in 11+ exams.
What Does It Include?
Write with Rocky supports a wide range of writing types:
- Story
- Description
- Letter
- Diary Entry
- Describe an Image (a growing 11+ trend)
With 150 essays across these five writing types, your child can practise extensively and build the confidence needed to master 11+ creative writing.
How Does It Work?
Every writing task is broken into 4 stages - Planning, Introduction, Main & Conclusion.
At each stage, Rocky:
- Offers helpful hints and suggestions
- Reads the student’s attempt
- Gives friendly, constructive feedback
- Offers guidance for up to three attempts to help the student refine their writing
Final Step: Marking and Feedback
Once the full piece is complete, students can submit their writing for Rocky to mark and give feedback. They will receive:
- A total score out of 50
- General overall feedback
- A detailed breakdown in 5 key categories, each scored out of 10:

Mocks
Students can access 30 Mock essay tasks covering all 5 writing types.
Mocks provide a realistic 11+ creative writing experience without hints or step-by-step guidance, helping students practise working independently.
Once their essay is submitted, students will receive instant marks and detailed feedback, making it easy to see strengths and areas for improvement.
